restore db2 online backup without the log file ?

Hi,
   Is there any possible way to restore db2 online backup image without the
log file ? In fact, the database seems to restore successfully but stays in
"roll-forward pending" state. After cancel the rollforward, and it moved to
"restore pending" state.

if you are missing or dont have the active log file, then I think you need to contact IBM support to be able to restore the database. I don't think the database manager will allow access since it cannot guarantee the consistency of the database.
I have not encountered this problem, but I would try to restore the database with the 'WITHOUT ROLLING FORWARD' clause.
I would also try to rollforward the database the the last known point in time. To find this out, issue
db2 rollforward database <name> query status, but I suspect you will need IBM support.
