Render HTML in Crystal Report

Hi,

I am using Crystal Reports integrated with MicroSoft Visual Studio.Net 2003 and OS is Windows XP. The application is in C#.

I have HTML data in XML files which on runtime will be impoted to a dataset and i would like to render it on reports and format the text as per html tags in the data. For that in field object there is a property called Text Interpretation on Paragraph formatting tab of format dialog. I set the property to crHTMLText and run the report and it appears as if the text is empty. When i change the textformat property in the designer to crStandardText it displays the html text along with the tags. I dont want to display the html tags in the fields of the report.

Please help me.
Thanking u in advance

I hate to tell you this, but this is a known bug in Crystal Reports for VS.NET. The KB Article is here: http://support.businessobjects.com/library/kbase/articles/c2011638.asp.   I have contacted their tech support, and they have told me they have no intention of fixing it, and that the only solution is to pay a few hundred dollars to upgrade to the latest full version of CR (where this bug has been fixed).  From my conversations with them, they seem to have the view that since this version is bundled with VS.Net, that I'm not really a paying customer, and I should be happy with what I've got.  They refused to even offer a reduced price if I upgraded. I have had many problems with CR, and their customer support is horrendous. At this point, I wouldn't wish this component on my worst enemy.  My only suggestion is to switch to another reporting tool.
