Well, a webservice is just basically SOAP. Unfortunately Delphi has incompatibility problems with SOAP so it doesn't work well with other languages that use SOAP to communicate. Especially dates and booleans are handled the wrong way by Delphi.

Now, using ASP with soap is a bit difficult too since ASP is not a client-side scripting language but serverside. First you must make sure your ASP server can access the pages on the webserver. Some systems are set up in a way that this is not possible.
The next step is creating some ASP component in Delphi that can act as the webserver-client that connects to the webserver and returns the values to the ASP page as method results. Some middle-tier component, as you might call it. It doesn't have to be written in Delphi, btw. You can even use other languages or the MSXML Component within ASP to contact the webserver and extract whatever you need. But by default there is no functionality within ASP to contact webservices. It needs some other component for this.
