Freehand Dumb Questions - Tools Panel is gone, and I can't get it back.

While working in Freehand today, somehow, I opened up a new file and my tools panel disappeared. When I click to view it, or use the hot keys, it shows that it SHOULD be displayed, but I can't see it or use it.

Any advice would be appreciated. This is kind of critical, as i am in the middle of a project.

Thanks.

Since you said the toolbar "should" be displayed, you may try these suggestions from macromedia:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/freehand/ts/documents/missing_toolbars.htm

Here are also a couple of links that basically suggest the best solution may be to reinstall:

http://www.forum4designers.com/archive13-2004-1-37596.html

http://www.baseboard.net/forums/showthread/t-8082.html

You can try deleting the prefs file as suggested at those links, but a reinstall may be the best solution.

Thank you so much. I followed the macromedia instructions, and it worked like a charm. Glad to know i wasn't totally on drugs.
