ISA 2000

Hi !

we just purchased the ISA 2000  for our server 2003 , and I would like to know the easy way to  install it,  because all the documentation that came with it are confusing me. We are running a simple network with about 80 nodes and  mosly interested in a firewall. Will internal caching be any benefit?
Thank you in advance.

This is the best tutorial on installing ISA 2000 on Windows 2003.

I would also recommend following the steps here to verify your network cards/interfaces are setup correctly before beginning.
http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Configuring_ISA_Server_Interface_Settings.html

Using ISA as a Firewall plus proxy should offer your internal clients the "perceived" benefit of having a faster connection. If they visit a lot of web sites that have static content then these can be retrieved directly from the ISA server without having to go to the internet to retrieve them. I almost always install ISA server in "integrated" mode which allows for both the firewall and proxy features.

If you follow the tutorials above you will be in good shape.
