Hi,

I am a registered user of ColdFusion 4.5 server for Solaris.  I am trying to find a way to get the installation files since my CD got a scratch and my CDROM can't access it anymore.  Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this CD?

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark,

You can get a replacement from Macromedia under a couple of conditions:
o Your copy of CF is registered
o They have copies available to send out (with 45 Solaris, they should)
o It will cost you $25, plus shipping.

More info here:

MX 6.1 runs great on Solaris, by the way.. :)

Regards,

Seth

They were able to find an evaluation version.  Do you know if I can convert it to a regular version while preserving my settings?

I know that with 5.0 and newer, entering a valid key automatically updates the product to the full version.

It's been awhile since I've worked with version 4.5, and I don't recall if it functions the same way.

The good news is that the eval version will likely hold you over until you get a replacement disk from Macromedia.

Regards,

Seth
