how can i run a batch file when i recieve an email

My company provide pre paid telephony services for its clients.
we have an exchange 2003 server which we use for sending and recieving email from
Every now and then we recieve critical emails from our clients about the condition of their switches. we would like to run a batch file which will runn when one of these critical emails arrive.
Could you please help.

As you have exchange 2003 then you will have licences fro outlook 2003 ... in this program you can specify rules when e-mail s come in... one of these rules is to run a script.

go to tools rules and alerts, create a new rule when the e-mail comes in does it always have the same subject? from the same person etc.

i have no knowledge of VB. But ready to give it a shot. will it be possible to call a batch file on reciept of an email from a particular sender. If yes, what is the syntax to use for this.
