outlook express directdb issue

Gents,

a client upgraded his computer and when I TRY to import his OE6 (.dbx) database under win98se I always get a DIRECTDB.DLL issue at 018f:018f6b9b.
tried change memory, processor, mobo, and at this moment the OS.
in my machine it ran ok.

client config:
duron 1300mhz
256mb ddr 266mhz
pcchips m810dlu (argh!)
win98se

Hi curlyman,

Try to do according to what is given in this link

and after that restart the machine , reopen Outlook express and check if importing would be fine

Have you tried to reinstall outlook express in that machine

I'll try this, but this happens on a brand new installation. everytime the error happened I changed a piece and made a new installation and it happened all the times.
it looks like a driver problem, or OS problem with the mobo... not sure...
