Error Message Displayed After Software Deployment

Hi all,

I rolled out a machine for 1 of our directors several months ago. Office 2000 was installed over software deployment. He now has problem where while in outlook he will send a email to the printer but as soon as print is clicked he gets the following message:

"error 1306. Another Application has exclusive access to the file 'C:\documents and settings\XXXXXXXXXXXX\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outcmd.dat' please shutdown all other programs, then click retry."

Try this and all you get is same error. I have looked at Folder Permissions and all users are set to Read Only.

Please Help

Most times, this error message is triggered by an MSI, check your running processes to ensure that the Windows Installer isn't running.  If need be, shut down the service by running "services.msc" locating "windows installer"

Also close outlook, run task manager again, and check your running processes.  See if "outlook.exe" still looks like it is running.  End all tasks with that name, start outlook and try again.
if none of this works, you can simply delete the outcmd.dat file.  This file contains toolbar settings that is recreated when outlook starts.  You may have to re-customize them though.
