Microsoft Producer "Internet Explorer Script Error" "Access is Denied"

In Microsoft Producer 2002, when I go to Preview and click on a slide I get a pop up box  "Internet Explorer Script Error" "Access is Denied". This has only just started happening for no apparent reason.

It is now the third machine it has happened on. 2 were Windows 2000 and this is XP. Everytime it happens I have to install everything on a new machine as I cannot fix the problem. Initally all 3 machines worked fine, the first for 18 months!

Have tried everything.

Please I am now desperate!

This sounds like a permissioning issue.  Try looking here -

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/security/9splayer.aspx

it's not specifically related to producer, but I think the problems are similar.

I spent 2 hours on the phone to Microsoft and they could not solve it. I the end I had to install Producer 2003 which is now available for Powerpoint 2002 (which I think I am right in saying did not used to be the case). This got rid of the problem, but this was one of the wierdest bugs I have ever incountered as there was absolutely no reason for it.

Thanks for answering.
