I'm giving you 500 points for what you just did and will give you many more points as the outstanding details are resolved. Thanks for the great help.

P.S. Please, let me know if you have any problems in receiving the points.

Hopefully you will not have any trouble from here.  Now you need to get a serial-to-IP converter so you can monitor the thing remotely - serial cables are so limiting.

Good luck.

You should read the policy about Points-for questions - I think you need to actually post follow-up questions.

Here's the summarized version posted from the site news section:

--------------------------------------------------
For now, if a Question Author wishes to award another Expert on a 200 point question, they can increase the value of the question up to 500 points, and then perform a split.  Or post a Points For...Question for 300 points or less to award the other expert(s).

The exception to the rule is, as since we discourage questions within questions, another question may be asked as a follow-up and will have a value up to, but not exceeding 500 points.

I clicked on "Accept", hoping I'm not violating any policies. Next time I will award points through asking a follow-up question.Best wishes
