Adding User names in WIN 2000

I was wondering what user name I should use when adding a user in a peer to peer environment. Do I use the computer name that I see in "my network places" or do I use the name that the person logs on as. ie the computer name is WKS4 but my logon name is ward.

Use the name of the user (ward) is typically the accepted route...

But in a peer-to-peer/workgroup, you generally have better networking results when "ward" is the same user account on every system you need access to (with the same password)...

Thanks! If I don't logon with a password do I just leave the password blank?

I've seen this cause some problems, but you can certainly try it.
If you have access issues, try setting a password on the account - if that doesn't work, you can check your local security policies to enable remote access anonymously (Start->Run->secpol.msc and under Local Policies, Security Options, enable the Network Access: Allow anonymous...
