Restore Complete folders in Lotus Notes Database in R5/6

I recently had a users delete an entire tree of folders in their lotus notes database. My problem is that if I restore the database they will lose all of the data/emails that they received today since the backup was last night.

I tried restoring the database to my local machine, Opening it with Notes hopeing to be able to just copy the folder from the local copy to the server(drag and drop method). No go, lotus is not cool like exchane in that matter, or I just don't know how to do it. The only other option I can think of is to send them the database and have them open it as an archive (rather not do that).

That should be, restoring it locally and replicating it WITH the server.

OK I tried replicating to the server but it does not seem to want to send all of the folders and files that were deleted yesterday. But it lets me replicate with the server to remove the files! Very anoying.

any Ideas?

OK I renamed the folder with all of the sub folders and that replicated back to the server however the emails in those folders did not replicate back-up to the server.

Replicating worked but it took some tweeking in the replication settings before it would send the data from the day before.

I had to go into Advanced settings in Replication and set <:When computer: Mail server (Select the mail server)
<:Receives from:  mailfile/domain (Select the local .nsf file)

Then select the option Documents in selected views and Folders.

Those settings finaly got the emails to replicate with the server.

Also remeber to only send files to the server and not retrieve.
