exchange 2003 not working please help!

my exchange server stopped responding,  after several attemps to restart the services we rebooted and we still can't get it back up and running.  we backed up the pub and priv file then tried to use eseutil /r to preform a  recovery only we get this error JET_errRequiredLogFilesMissing -543 /* The required log files for recovery is missing and the recovery stops can anyone help us with this?

Hi biswain,

Do you have a good backup? (from before this happend)
If not,

1. run eseutil /p
2. run eseutil /d
3. isinteg -fix -test -alltests
4. try to mount the database
