Error: The dependency 'Interop.Office, Version=2.1.0.0, Culture=neutral' in project 'WindowsApplicationTESTOTHERDLLS' cannot be copied to the run directory because it would conflict with dependency 'Interop.Office, Version=2.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0b9a38cbd0c388e5'.

How can I solve this?

manually delete the run (debug/release/etc) directory and try a complete build again.

This generally happens when the compiler get's confused about what's in the run directory vs. what it needs.

If I have several modules that are co-dependent on each other.....what is the best way to deploy them under DEBUG / RELEASE.

My current setup is like this:

I have ONE solution which contains about 10 different projects.

I have a DEBUGBUILDS folder (for DEBUG mode) and I have RELEASEBUILDS folder (for RELEASE mode).

When I compile under one or the other.....I want the files to all be compiled and saved in either DEBUGBUILDS or RELEASEBUILDS (as the case may be).

I don't want RELEASE files with dependencies on DEBUG files, or vice-versa.

Should I stop using the IDE to compile everything and do it all in a batch file?

I deleted everything out as you recommended...but I still get build errors:
