Game programming in Delphi

What kind of games can be accomplished in Delphi, i do not know C++ and would be interested in writing RTS games, can this be done in Delphi, and where could i go for resources? i am using Delphi 7.

yep you can develop anything in delphi, I am working on a statergy game engine @ the moment which is fully editable with just notpad an paint  :)

i would suggest getting hold of the DELPHIX component suite if you want to do anything with delphi, although there are others.

delphiX is for versions 3-5, however you can make it work on delphi 7 using this tutorial

though im not sure its too legal, but on the otherside of it the guy who built delphiX seems to not exist online anymore

yep, one delphiX DXDraw component over the whole form, and a DelphiX imagelist to hold the images and also a DXtimer to control the refreshing of the page. just dont forget to link th imagelist to the DXdraw component, i have wasted hour looking for errors in the code, when i had forgot to set the property of the image list !

There are some good examples of how to use the components in the delphiX download.
