All I need is to take a few text-images (names of people) and remove them. Also, add a few other names with links. Basically, replacing the images with other ones and changing their links.<br />

Yes and No. You can replace them (because decompiling can give you the original symbols/buttons/movieclips<wbr />) but when compiling the new SWF will be much bigger and functionality (actionscript etc) will be gone. Speed of movie might be different as well. So you need to rebuild the FLA and then replace images for best result.<br />

The original FLA is a must for managing the flash movie, sorry! Good luck!<br />
