Hi experts,

I installed windows 2000 on my computer.  After installing  It will come up and ask me if I want to register and I say later.  I have an HP psc950 printer.  When I tried to plug the printer to the computer it could not find it.  I tried to use the CD I had with the printer but it came up with an error.  I had to download something from hp to install the printer.  I downloaded it to my desktop and then tried to install it and it said I need to go the ms windows 2000 and download sevice pack 2 or higher.  I downloaded sp2expres.exe to my desktop.  Then when I tried to install SP2express.exe and it starts but just in a couple of minutes it says "the server name and address could not be resolved".

That is where I stand with this mess.  It has been about two months and I have not been able to load my printer on to the computer.  I sure hope someone can help me.

Thanks in advance,

You need to download this... Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Network Install for IT Professionals

Here is the link to the English version:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=1001aaf1-749f-49f4-8010-297bd6ca33a0&displaylang=en

SP2 is very old, and additionally you are download the express install which requires the Internet and access to Microsoft during the installation to download the components. That process is failing. If you download the Full Version of SP4, you will get one very large file that should install without any issues.
