Hi guys
I need to develop a real estate portal, but have come across some premade ones on the net, I have got the go-ahead from the supervisor to proceed with the premade ones. Does anyone have any knowledge in this field and give recommendations as to the best realty portal around?. Or is there a forum out there that someone knows of which discuss such topics?.
Any help is much appreicated

Do you prefer a free one or a paid one would work too?

First of all, I have never built a real estate portal. Before I start a new portal project first I check all available free and/or paid scripts, if I am not going to create from the scratch.  I don't know the needs of your company. It can be a system with one admin entering all new real estates available or several permission levels and users. Also it can be an agent which only tries to sell its own clients' real estate or an agent which will use this portal as a hub to the local area which will also serve to different real estate agents. What I will recommend you is, take your time, plan a research period and go through all available scripts (including free trials of paid ones). You can never decide if a script is the best one for your needs before you try it. I will give you several links and php real estate portal scripts websites. They pretty much include what the industry is using right now. After reading the reviews/ratings about them, you can make a priority list and start installing and trying them one by one. Most of them even have their own demos on their websites, so you don't have to install all of them.
I will not recommend a name for your since I think the right solution totally depends on your needs. But I will be more than happy to assist you with your further questions.

Thanks Phpisthefuture, some of these links u gave are like a goldmine. If you can give me more links, it would be great, as i'm in the process of testing each one like u said. I've come across some other good scripts, but they are in asp/access :(. I've been told php is much better then asp.
