USB 2.0 PCI on a USB 1 mobo?

Hey experts, just a quick question about USB 2.0

I have recently ordered myself an iRiver mp3 player, and it is a USB 2.0 device.  With 40gb of music to transfer i really dont want to have to use the old USB1 that is my onboard USB.
If i was to get a USB 2.0 PCI card, would this give me USB 2.0 speeds, or would the motherboard limit this and only allow transfer at USB 1 rates?  The computer is about 1.5 years old so im not wanting to get a new motherboard just yet...

Any thoughts or more info needed, just ask

Thanks Experts!

Hi cofneverlivetotell,

Yes, adding the USB2.0 PCI card will give you full USB 2.0 support and speeds.
