FLASH + Using variable in all scenes

I have a variable that i used in the very first scene, depending on the value of the variable depends on which scene comes next, how can i use that variable in all scenes.  I am getting the variable from an asp.net page.

If you have this in the frame that you want to set the variable it will be global.
But don't confuse that with somevariable that is a whole different variable than _global.somevariable  So you could use both at the same time.

_global.somevariable = "something";
_global.somevariable = 12;
