Microsoft Word Opens with Outlook

Hi,

I have serveral users complaining that when they open Outlook, Word opens along with it.  No errors, just word opening up.  The behavior stops when word is not used as the email editor, but my custoners don't like this. :(

The only thing I could find is this article:

This doesn't apply to our Machines, we don't use ATI.

Can anyone give me any help or insight?

We are running:
Microsoft Office XP Professional
Windows XP SP1

try this

Open outlook
uncheck WORD as the default email editor
CLose outlook
close word If it was open
search for the file "normal.dot" in your machine.
rename it as "normal_old.dot".
restart the computer
open outlook
check WORD to be the default editor
close outlook
open outlook again and check

Also make sure the outlook you are using is fully updated
