Click on contact and email form opens

outlook 2003

When I try to add a new contact the email form opens.  It doesn't matter if I click on the New button or go through actions.

Yes I want a contact form to open ipm.contact or a custom form.  When I try to add a contact Outlook opens the ipm.message email form.

Try this, in outlook, right click on the contacts folder, click properties.

Then, where it says:

"When posting to this folder, use:"

chose "Contact".

So do you have form set for email aswell.
Can you remove that form and just use only contact form  and see if that would work ?

ipm.contact is the name for the default contact form

ipm.post is the form used on the inbox.
