HP director not available for PSC2110

I cannot get the director to open. When I try to re-install I have to uninstall the program. After re-installing the director is still not available.

Sometimes an error message appears in IE to say "scripts are not downloading - continue?" It refers to the director exe program to correct the problem - which I cannot do!

Unless you can suggest how to reactivate the director, I guess I would like to know how to clean up the installation fully before re-installing.

Here's hoping.

here is a cleanup utility which i recently used to sort out a messed-up HP PSC2110 printer installtion >> http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?product=79488&lc=en&lang=en&cc=us&dlc=en&os=228&softwareitem=oj-11696-6

Download and run this utility, and Restart ur system,,,,

then u can download the drivers and updates for this printer according to ur OS from here >> http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=79488&lc=en&lang=en&cc=us&dlc=en&

check if u can get ur printer working in this way or not :)

!! Good Luck !!

Im having a similar problem. Appears to be a javascript problem with ie6 and the hp software. tried it on a comp with fresh 98se (so it has ie5) and there is no trouble. Tried IEradicating ie6 from trouble comp and installing ie5 but still trouble. Maybe M$ java engine is whack; gonna try pulling it and using SUN ( dude that invented java worked there anyway) see if that helps.
Im running out of options..have uninstalled and reinstalled this crap more times.....
