IZPACK PROBLEM : HOW DO YOU PASS A VARIABLE RECEIVED FROM A USER INPUT PANEL TO ANOTHER PANEL???

Hi,

    I am trying to receive a variable through seach in my userInputSpec.xml
and I want to pass it to my install.xml..

Does anyone know how to go abt this??

so uou want to save the serarch value into install.xml. Right??

use DOM or sax to read and write the variables.

I found a solution for it..and  the help i had recvd had nothing to do with the solution..

Here is the soln..

try: installData.getVariable("variable_name") where installData is an InstallData object and variable_name is the name of your variable.  If you receive the value null then there is no value associated with that variable name.

All panels are created upon startup of the intaller, if the variable's value changes during the course of the installation you need to check for this in your panel's 'panelActivate()' method.

I would like the soln to be PAQ'd
