OK i want to be able to replicate this mini app

this app uses PHP but is their a way that i can do the same unsing asp?

is their a free component that i use to do this

Not in classical ASP.  You might be able to do it in ASP.NET (php has great graphics manipulation commands).

What I'd reccommend is using CSS with a z-index.

First, give your image a fixed position on the page.
     <img ... style="position: absolute; top: 100; left: 100: z-index: 1" />

Second, float your text over it (z-index must have a higher value than the img).

     <div style="position:absolute; top: 150; left: 150; z-index:2" />Your Text</div>

You may need to do some rough math based on the number of characters in your Text to centre the text in the graphic.
