Everything has been working fine for months.
"the list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available"
8 computers in the office 3 on XP Pro 5 on W2Pro.
Each set to "obtain an IP address automatically" "obtain DNS Automatically"
Each has static IP. with subnet mask 255.255.255.224
WINS set "Enable LMHOSTS Lookup" "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
Just all of a sudden the local LAN NET gets this error. We just resently got the third XP machine.
Would this throw anything off?

Yes I am. I can ping the computers through the CMD but I can't connect via "My Network"

ok the only thing i can suggest is that there is a limit to 10 machines on a win2k pro/xp workgroup, now that is to say that there is a definite 10 max top, however who can count. you can have a win2k server workgroup with no limit.

hope that this helps

as i said, to check about the limit shutdown one machine and test if it comes back then the limit is the problem and the only solution is win2k server on one machine.
