Using TPanose

Defined in Windows.pas. No documentation. Nothing on the web. Nothing in usenet.

I want to get the Panose information from a TTF file.

Anybody know how? Any functions like GetOutLineTextMetrics?

Am I the only person who has ever wanted to do this?

Please don't point me at the TTF reference.

It's on the MSDN sites. Look on http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/gdi/fontext_48aa.asp for further information. The Panose is part of the OUTLINETEXTMETRIC structure. Use GetOutlineTextMetrics to get this data. But I guess you already know this. I am wondering about what it is *exactly* that you are looking for that's not on MSDN...
You you want to just open a TTF file, get the panose and do something with it?

Not many people are working with fonts, btw. In general, Arial, Times New Roman and Courier is all we need anyway. :-)

"I am wondering about what it is *exactly* that you are looking for that's not on MSDN..."

A brain, it would seem.

I read that section 4 times before posting this bloomin' question.

Well, that was an easy 500 points for you.

And my picture in the "biggest idiots in the world" annual scrapbook.

Doh!

LOL. Well, we all have our moments of blindness... Just think of it this way, it costs you only 500 points, not 500 days... ;)
