Domain DFS not working anymore

I've created a domain DFS to bring together a few folders from different servers into a single share for particular users.  For one of the shares, I created a replica for file redundency.  It's been working for a few months...but all of a sudden, any modification to a file is not showing up on the parent folder.

in DFS, I have X:\ABC\ pointing to \\server2\ABC\....so when I make changes to a file in X:\ABC...the changes are not showing up when I directly connect to \\server2\ABC\ to access the file.

What am i doing wrong?  why has it stopped working all of a sudden?
