AOL Client Ports

Can anyone tell me which ports the AOL client uses?  I know that AOL IM uses 5190 but does the client also use 5190 for web browsing and regular AOL mail? We have AOL clients on our internal PCs which access the Internet via a proxy server and firewall.

Hi Critter51,

AOL IM does use port 5190. In fact it is a range of ports 5190-5193.

Port 11523 is used by AOL's browser.

AOL e-mails uses these ports:

The incoming port is 143
The Outgoing port is 25 and/or 587

These are IMAP ports because AOL mail is IMAP.
Here are the AOL IMAP and SMTP server addresses.

imap.aol.com (port 143)
smtp.aol.com (port 587)

Anything else Dear................

Ravi.
