favicon.ico file not found error

Hello I am relatively new to Apache.Due to a lot of help from this site I have been able to set up an apache server and make it running.A perl CGI application runs on this server .(On Linux).
But everytime I use the application I get the following error .

Fri Aug 20 14:28:56 2004] [error] [client] File does not exist: /home/bob/path/html/path1/favicon.ico

I dont know if this is a big error..but please help me in resolving the error.

Thank you

This error comes from different browsers (mozilla, Konqueror, ..) that want to display an icon beside the url (like the logo of ee beside your browser URL).
This icon to display is called favicon.ico and the browser try to get that one from the server, so the browser request it.

The best way to get around that errors is to put a favicon.ico (like a tux, or something else) at that place. It may be also sufficient to make an empty favicon.ico with

touch /home/bob/path/html/path1/favicon.ico
For more information about the favicon.ico see http://www.favicon.com/
