Notes email with html IMG tag?

I want to create an email in Lotus Notes 5.5 that contains an externally linked (via HTML) image.  Is this possible?  For example, I want to add the tag <img src="http://www.somesite.com/images/image.jpg">.

yes.. mostly works for external mails. Not local !

From R6 it works on both the sides

Can you show me how to do this?  I can't find the right steps.  Thank you!  I'm on R5.5.
