I'm studying for the mcse 2000 track. I've got 4 tests to go. I've purchase books that I'm happy with but I need a larger practice questions database than the enclosed cd contains.  I would appreciate say 5 responses as to where and WHY you think the best source of practice questions are?

Transcenders are only for the serious since their prices is quite higher than others, but I've used them and they are very good for making sure you are prepared for the actual exam.

TestKing as questions very close to the actual ones, but their answers always strike me as possibly wrong and lots of spelling mistakes.  Much cheaper.

Troytec is another one

I recommend purchasing decent practice exams (I also like http://examforce.com) that let you simulate the real test environment,  and give you feedback on where you are weak.

I don't like freebie online practice questions because they don't simulate the actual test environment and that makes a real difference in how well you may do; and  you must go to multiple sources to get a comprehensive set of questions.  Be wary where you get freebies, the answers are not always correct (for this reason I hate braindumps...I consider them a total waste of time if you're willing to put in quality study time).

I personally like using the Sybex books along with the ExamCram books (do all the test questions).  When I feel that I know the material, I try the practice exam tool (and usually discover that I have more studying to do).  When I'm consistently passing the practice exams with random questions, I methodically plow through every single practice exam question.

if you really want to be a real MCSE I don't recommend testking etc. I only recommend to practice every unit from your books. just more practices on DNS, DHCP, GPOs, Active directory etc. then go to real test.
but if you want to be MCSE just for certificatation and to find job (!!!) then go to google and search for mcse braindumps etc. I never recommend to make such things.

Let me echo the sentiment that for really learning how to do it, nothing beats working on actual machines in tandem with your studies.
