Hi All,

     I am facing a peculiar problem in netscape 6.2.

The width given between the columns is completely lost when the page is getting rendered in 6.2. I tried giving the column width by putting a dummy image but still it takes it as width of 1. Initially I had faced a similar problem and I found it was a problem with DOCTYPE. But this problem I am not able to resolve.

Let me give some background about this problem. Initially our site was developed uisng epicentric portal and now it is being migrated to weblogic protal. The existing site developed with epicentric protal does not have any problems in 6.2 but its all getting started now. I am not very sure where to look in for a fix. Even when i tried creating a dummy table and load it to netscape 6.2 i could see the same problem of the specified width is getting ignored.

Please do suggest me what do I do?

Thank you all

Regards
Gops

Gops - we'd need to see code to determine the problem.

Most of the time you can force tables into rendering the width correctly by fixing the cell widths with CSS, like this:
<table style="table-layout:fixed;">

but it could be just about anything that's causing your specific problem...
