Hello, I'm having trouble with access violations in my windows 2000 machine at work. I am set as the administrator, but when i open certain programs an error message comes up with:

Access violation at address  00486E20w  module Wmapp.exe

I dont think that file is linked in any way to the program im trying to run. are there any ways around this?

Wmapp is a program to make Windows Maker applets, a linux style application for Windows. Are you running or did you install a doanloaded program which shows you little (widgets), like memory, cpu usage, disk drive space etc? If you did, then uninstall the application.
