Opening a new window maximized

Opening a new window maximized.

Can anyone please tell me why the following code, although it correctly opens a window size 1024 x 768, in theory filling my screen when in 1024 x 768 resolution, does not create a maximised window?

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript1.2">
if (screen.width >= 1024)
{
window.open("index1024.htm",null,"resizable=yes,width=1024,height=768,menubar=yes,toolbar=yes,scrollbars=yes,location=yes,screenX=0,screenY=0");
}
</script>

Normally the window is opened shifted right and down, so that the right of the window and the bottom of the window are not visible.  I have to drag the window to the left and then click on the now visible square maximize icon near the top right corner of the window to make the window be positioned correctly, totally filling the screen.

How do I make the window open properly positioned?

(In case it is relevant, I am using IE 6.0.2800.1106, and Windows XP Home edition).

Thanks for any solution to this problem
