Why Does Microsoft Outlook2003XP not open an email window when double clicking on a contact

Hi All,

Ive got a Windows XP SP1 machine with Microsoft Office 2003XP installed on it, When I go to the contacts window and double click on it, instead of either opening the item or pasting the email address into a new mail message the program says that

"an object was not found on the local machine, Do I wish to debug?"

The PST file that Outlook is using has recently been moved from an old windows 98se computer with Microsoft office 2000 small business, as far as the user doesnt know of any custom forms built into that installation.

I have tried repairing the office installation and I dont really want to have to take the office installation off and then reinstall it.

Any ideas anybody?

Theres 250 points up for grabs here !

Many thanks for any help that anyone can give.
