Voice chat using open source

Hi

I am working on a software using open source technology  ,what I am working on is a VoIP program that will enable a vistor to my site to click on a chat button and have a live chat(voice chat) with an operator  on my side. Now I have done a livechat, similiar to Liverperson and Boldchat with PHP and Mysql, but I donot know where to start for voice chat.

I also know that there is a way of doing soemthing using Microsoft Technology, actually I know that there is a company in India that started something using asp and VC++, but if you are a linux man any ideas were to start.

Thank alot
