Error message: Paperport failed to create scratch file. Disk drive or scratch dir. may be full. Please Help!

What does the above error message mean?  I can't find anything on the internet that refers to this message.  The scanner is a Visioneer OneTouch 8600.  The scanner actually scans the document, using all of the three methods available, but when the image should be generated whether in preview or full scan, this error message appears instead.  There is plenty of hard disk space, plenty of virtual memory, and plenty of ram.  It is running on Win NT.  Thanks!

I'll assume you've been using this a while and then the problem started like throwing a switch.
Locate where Paperport stores all the temp files that it creates for every document scanned and empty it.
If you have some some of file size management active in your system, you may indeed be full.

Open Paperport, and I think you can find the temp info store locations through the options menu.

Thanks, I'll try that.  This user is at an off site location.  I will try to get back with you tomorrow.
