GUSI compatability Issues

I have heard their may be icompatability ssues using GUSI sockets with MAC OS 9 and/or 8. I unfortunately need to provide a solution for MAC OS 8, 9 and OSX. Can anyone confirm or refute this?

Well, I used GUSI for the networking in the Paradox games (Europa Universalis II, Hearts of Iron, Victoria) Mac ports from Virtual Programming, and that worked out fine. All of them are built as Carbon CFM apps, EUII and HOI were tested back to 8.6.

There was a few tweaks I had to make for it to get along with Carbon and PowerPlant (which I used for the threading model in the above mentioned games), but nothing too terribly difficult. If you email me you're welcome to my current version of the GUSI source.
