i created a simple file for photoshop, i am using layers as coloring and now when i try something like the eyedropper tool selects nothing but white, and i can't draw on any other of the layers too.  Otherwords, the error said is the layer is hidden and i have it selected and it doesn't show up as a blue selection like it normaly does but as a grey selection.  Can some one help me turn this off plz.  i also know that the lock is not selected for any of the layers too.  i just need to turn off the hid feature for each layer and it should work.
i did try copying each layer to a new document but all i get is a white background.  hope this is enough information to help solve the problem if not just ask me more questions.  thx =)

Are you stuck in quick mask mode ? - these are the two "circles within rectangles" towards the bottom of the toolbar - you need to click on one of them to flip into normal mode - soory if this is patronising but I can't (yet) replicate your fault !
