frontpage extensions troubleshooting
I am using frontpage server extensions. When I try to publish from local to remote, nothing happens. It acts like it is publishing, but nothing shows up on the server side. I don't get an error, I just end up with a blank screen on the server side. It does publish, though from the local root directory to the remote root directory.
The directory that I want to publish to is medicalcompany, and I have configured the directory as a subdomain.

Yes, I have an index.html page setup in my root directory (home page) and I also tried setting up an index.html in the medicalcompany folder I'm trying to publish to.
Did not work.

Can you supply the URL? And you are publishing to something like: http://www.yourdomain.com/medicalcompany ?

There is no URL because I have not successfully published any files to the "medicalcompany" folder.
The URL will be like
http://www.b-transfers.com/medicalcompany
or
http://www.medicalcompany.b-transfers.com
My home page (root directory) is www.b-transfers.com

http://www.medicalcompany.b-transfers.com

Upped to 500 just because topic is urgent
Sorry I was trying to see if there were other files, etc. Can you sign onto the server via FP to see if the files are there?

I went into my Yahoo FTP - file manager. The files are not listed there either.
When I try to publish to the medicalcompany subdomain, most of the times the file gets put in the remote root directory.

Are you publishing to http://www.b-transfers.com/medicalcompany or just http://www.b-transfers.com/ ?
If you are in the root web on your local computer is medicalcompany designated a sub-web by FP? Can you go to File - Publish & choose sub-webs as well?

that's my url that I'm publishing to.
When I click on remote web site properties, and choose FrontPage and Sharepoint services, i put in http://www.b-transfers.com for the address in that box
When I am viewing the remote web site, medicalcompany is a folder there. I do not know how to tell if it's a subweb by FP. I did configure it in Yahoo as a subdomain.

It should be: http://www.b-transfers.com/medicalcompany
Locally, you can right click the folder & say convert to web

If I put in http://b-transfers.com/medicalcompany in the remote site properties setup screen, I get the following message:
A web site does not exist at http://b-transfers.com/medicalcompany. Would you like FrontPage to create a Web site at that location
If I click yes,
then it repeatedly asks me for my username and password
Also, I'm not able to right click on a local folder and say convert to web.

I just tried dragging a file over to medicalcompany and it copied. I'm using FP 2003, is this an OK way to publish files?
