Scsi drive fail

i've had a drive fail in a scsi raid 5 array this morning, i've replaced the drive
and in the scsi bios its says its rebuilding the drive but its been like this for 2 hours,

Anyone know how long this should take ?

Hi dark22,

Depending on how busy the system is, a rebuilt can take between 4 to 12 hours.

Its disk 0 and the system will not boot so its just sat in the bios
what im not sure of is weather the bios will up date to say the
drive is on line.

Do you know if i reboot does it start rebuilding from scratch
or does it carry on from where it left off.

if you are in the bios is there not some utility to see how far along it has got?

I am not 100% sure on the reboot option so I will not say just incase
