I have a network, Exchange 2000, IIS. I also have a web page with APS code that sneds out emails using CDONOTS or ASPMAIL components. When I send an email with this code locally, the email reaches its destination. BUt if I put in the external email address, it gives me the error:
550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for me@yahoo.com
This sounds like a common problem. What settings should I change.
Thank you very much.

hi,

in smtp server properties, under relay control, check 'deny relay for all except the following' and then enter the local network address (eg 192.168.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0) as well as local host 127.0.0.1

cheers,  Mike.

hm, I cannot find smtp server props. Is it in IIS and then right-click the server's name and select properties?
thank you...
