2600 router for inter-vlan routing?

I am looking to buy a 2600series router so I can route in between VLANs.
Will the Cisco 2612 Router 40/16 w/IOS 12.3.9 IP/FW/IDS work?

Thanks

That will be more than enough. All you need is regular IP software. That software will give you stateful firewalling capability too.

Of course, you don't need the token ring. And remember, The older 261x routers (this is one) only have 10mb Ethernet which you can still use for trunking. If you want faster speed, either get a 261x XM series, or an older 262x router. They both have fast ethernet.
