Repair or Re-Install help

I have the dreaded "Illegal Duplicate Key" when running eseutil /p which even Microsoft doesn't seem to have an answer for, if you know an answer for this one then please do tell :-)

Anyway, the client have no backups so it looks like a re-creation of the whole thing.

On the older version if you deleted Priv1.edb from the mdbdata folder, Exchange just created a new one. It doesn't seem to happen on 2000.

How do I create a new blank info store without having to re-install, is this even possible.

Thanks in adavnce for any help..

Can't install SP3 because it won't start the info store !

you do know that if you reinstall exchange it will not affect any settings or configuration, it will just reinstall the files missing... this may be your easiest option.

Will this re-create the Info Store ?

I am not bad at Exchange myself but have never come across this situation on Exchange 2000.

If I had the time I would re-create the problem and try but I hope that someone, somewhere will have come across this one :-)

this will be the easiest way to go if no data required in the new store http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314212&sd=tech
