How can I make a shortcut that points to a share file on the share drive available on users's desktop without adding them manually one by one? Is there a parameter in GRO to achieve this?

Create a shortcut - calli t shortcutname, create a share on your server, and drop a copy of the shortcut in there

add the following to the users loginscript

IF Exist c:\SHORTCUT then goto end
cd c:\
MD SHORTCUT
cd \\server\sharename
Copy *.* c:\SHORTCUT
Cd c:\SHORTCUT
Copy *.* "c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop"
:end

I get the idea, but only Administrators can make changes to the All Users folder on client machine (default setting).

How do I overcome this without having to pay a visit to every client machine.

IF Exist "c:\documents and settings\%username%\SHORTCUT" then goto end
cd "c:\documents and settings\%username%"
MD SHORTCUT
cd \\server\sharename
Copy *.* "c:\documents and settings\%username%\SHORTCUT"
Cd "c:\documents and settings\%username%\SHORTCUT"
Copy *.* "c:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Desktop"
:end

The above works cause each user had the rights to do want they want in their own directory under documents and settings.
