I need to relocate user directories from one server to another. My problem is that many users use offline file synchronization with these folders. If the user directory is moved, offline synchronization will attempt to sync up the files at the old location, creating a lot of problems that I dont have time for. I need to disable offline files for those directories until after the move. There are other files/shares on that server that need to remain able to be synchronized.
My solution has to be via policy or script as running to each PC and disabling synchronization would be the last thing I would want to do, however that's the only way I've been able to find.
I could disable offline file synchronization with a gpo, however if I re-enable it it will come back with the same settings at the point of being disabled.
