802.1q

Noticed the 2600 series supports 802.1q frame encapsulation on the 10mb interfaces now. This means it will turnk with 802.1q?  Can it trunk with ISL?

Also, I assume any switches I want to trunk have to run  802.1q too?

ISL is a different, cisco-proprietary VLAN tagging method and I don't believe it's supported on 10mb interfaces. Trunks need to have the same kind of tagging on both sides, so the switch side of the trunk needs to be 802.1q also..
