I'm looking for an eye dropper tool that I can use to easily get the color code of any color on my screen.

I'm testing out this one: http://www.tucows.com/preview/194554.html but I can't use it since whenever I use it and show the program, my entire desktop freezes, so that program isn't really an option.

Any other ideas?

Hi Chopianissima,

One I love to user is Pixie by Nattyware. The window is small and unobtrusive, and it gives me the colour values in RGB, Hex, HTML #, CMYK, and HSV modes. Now, if it only gave me Pantone PMS values as well... Pixie is Free to download from:

http://www.nattyware.com/pixie.html

Another option would ColorCop by Datastic. It has a few more features than Pixie; like a magnifying glass, 3x3 and 5x5 sampling, a colour history, and a nice feature that snaps any colour selectoed to the nearest Web Safe colour. By default it only displays RGB and Hex values. You can download it from:

Hi Chopianissima,

Pixie is really neat, huh? It's my favourite and I use it whenever I need to pick colours. Thanks for the points.

Good Vibes!
